When navigating SecondhandMac, personal information about you is not collected automatically. The IP address of your computer is logged when you post an ad. This does not disclose any personal information about you.
E-mail Addresses and their usage
E-mail address are requiered to post ads. The only message this address will receive is the automatic confirmation after posting an ad.
Only people subscribed to our Mailing List will receive news about SecondhandMac and related info. We willl send info or offers from third parties (related with second hand Macs) only to people who request this info when they subscribe to our Mailing List.
We will never disclose your e-mail address to third parties.
Cookies
SecondhandMac may utilize a common technology known as "cookies" to collect and/or store information about you. A cookie is small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a web server and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. A cookie cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses. SecondhandMac is not utilizing cookies at the moment.
Advertisers.
We aggregate (gather up data across all visitors) personally identifiable information and disclose such information in a non-personally identifiable manner to advertisers and other third parties for other marketing and promotional purposes. However, in these situations, we do not disclose to these entities any information that could be used to identify you personally.
